Verdict Upheld Against Port Authority
A
New York State appeals court on Tuesday upheld a jury’s verdict that
the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey was negligent in
safeguarding World Trade Center before a 1993 terrorist attack that
killed six people and injured 1,000.The ruling could prove costly for
the Port Authority. Damages have not yet been determined, but lawyers
for roughly 50 plaintiffs remaining in the case estimated the
